Such a good issue. Katchoo's reaction to her pregnancy is spot on, as was the final scenes of her and Francine with the kids.

LOVED the Tambi and Casey scenes. They are a RIOT and I'd love a one shot just on them....

Terry,

Snoochie Boochies!

I'm sad, Terry. But Stephen King said it about Harry Potter. "Every story needs closure".

It doesn't mean we have to like it. Just cry about it and move on.

We finally made it. So many twists and turns; so many false starts; so much heartache and pain; so much joy; we made it.

There was only one ending that we all wanted from issue #1 but at times it seemed utterly impossible to believe we'd ever get there.

So many times in fiction the ending we want turns out to be a big let down; it wasn't in SIP.

I cried. I wept with joy for the final happy beginning for our friends. A new life with their experiences in the past to ensure that they'll make it through.

Terry has tied up all the lose ends over the last few issues and now, finally, we reach our conclusion. It came to soon but then again, for our characters, our friends, it was far too long a ride.

We made it.

To craft issue after issue with such skill; to make us believe in these characters as real people from the very first issue onwards; to force us to befriend them... it is no mean feat and one that Moore acomplished with enormous skill.

This is the final chapter, the last goodbye to one of the greatest works of fiction ever produced and it lives up to that admirably.

We know that our best friends won't live happily ever after, they are too real to believe that. Their kids will get sick, they will fight, they will face all manner of hardships but... well... they will get by, they will have each other. Life will be good and they will be happy together and LIVE.

Thank you Terry for an amazing time. THANK YOU.

Since I have been out of the country since this came out, I just had a chance to read my last issue. I am still in tears, but not sad ones. I am very sad that this has all come to an end, but I think Francine and Katchoo ended up right where they belong. Thank you Terry for sharing Francine and Katchoo's lives with us over the years. I have enjoyed every word.

I can't believe it. You did it for real. Till now i always hoped you would come out with something, a surprise anithing... but not this. You gave me years of joy, sadness, anxiety, hate, so many different feelings. I've lost people in my life, and i've always felt alone after loosing them. That's how i feel now. I'm a grown up man, so i'll try not to cry, but it's very difficult this time. I really feel alone, i already miss them. How shall i find them, just to pay a visit now and then? Seeing the kids grow, how do they do, have a little chat..C'MON, MAN, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME NOW!! Please, don't go! You can't let me out of your door. Please, come back. What made you do such a thing? You did'n like us any more?
Please, please, please. Come back.

Terry,

I applaud you for a beautiful ending to an amazing story. I had to read issue 90 twice for it to sink in how you wrapped up everything so perfectly, in my opinion. I didn't see the final page with Katchoo and Francine with their babies, and Francine closing the door the first time I read issue 90. It was a perfect touch.

Thanks for a truly remarkable story and beautiful artwork.

It took me 2 and a half weeks (and rereading my entire collection 4 times) to work up enough gumption to write this but thank you Mr. Moore. The story was a masterpiece in the dynamics of love and honor, whether it be through the eyes of angels or devils. Usually when a series ends there are 3 or 4 loose ends that leave the fan with lots of unanswered questions.(*coughcoughSOPRANOScoughcough*) With this I only had one, who was the ambulance bomber? But I am hopeful that we'll get that answer in a Freddie Femur limited series..*hint hint*. I'm very sorry I missed the celebration in NYC, but it probably a good thing. Knowing me, i'd end up in tears reminiscing over these characters I have grown to love so much. In that lies the genius of this work and I truly hope you'll do another story like this in the future.

*Closing the curtain so you & the Missus finally can have privacy and a deserved great vacation* Thank you...

Amazing. I love this ending. If I hadn't read the whole series I would think it was cheesy that they end up together both pregnant but after all they have been through for so many years it's perfect. Casey and Tambi are great together. I never would have though of that but it's perfect

Holding the last issue of SIP in my hands made me really, really sad. And although I love happy endings, and this was a really good one for a romantic girl like myself, it will feel strange to get my monthly staple of comics without an issue of SIP in between.
Anyway, I wish "the best for Francine and Katchoo" and the best for us Terry Moore-Fans. Thanks Terry for the joy you brought into our lives and I am looking forward to your next projects.

Until I saw that very last page, all I could think was "what about all those little loose threads?" but seeing the girls living like they belonged in the world tied it up. Would like to know how things wound up for the other players on this stage someday but still a great ride into the sunset for the story. Thank you for the wonderful gift of your prose, poerty and art!

I am giving this a three(should be five), because THERE WAS NO FREDDY. I see that Casey is now shacking with Tambi, but come on... couldn't you have at least shown Freddy in the scene with the IRS since he promised to do what's right for David and the Girls a few issues back? It would have been great to have seen his face as stoic as all the ladies until the elevator door closed and while the other ladies hooted and hollered(except Tambi of course), Freddy would bow his head and make a well deserved smile of congratulations to himself for properly helping the ladies(and guy) that eventually meant so much to him.

I guess like how there was David fans(me included) when the series was first starting, I am a Freddy fan that would have hoped for more of his character at the end of the series.

I DEMAND a rewrite! he he.

Anyway, even though lesbianism is some respects still makes me somewaht uncomfortable, I want to thank you and your family so very much for showing Katchoo is having David's child and that scene at very end with Francine closing the door. I wish those two ladies and their wonderful children all the best. *grin*

Hiya Terry!

I enjoyed the last issue - it probably doesn't match issue #89, although it was still a v lovely read. I was happy to get a little more development on Casey and Tambi, and the final two scenes (the Katchoo ending and the Francine ending) worked incredibly well. I've posted a full review up at:

Which hopefully explains my opinions a bit better.

Anyway good luck with any new projects - and thankyou for some truly great SiP characters and stories!

In over 30 years of comic book reading, this title remains the only one that has made me cry. More than once, too. This final issue made me do it again, dammit.

I savored the last issue, and enjoyed it tremendously, especially the final page. I reread it, thinking to myself that the director of 'The Sopranos' should have read this and seen how a finale is supposed to be done.

I am going to miss this series terribly, but thank you, Terry, nonetheless, for the journey.

Truly perfect. A perfect ending. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Yay. <3

Also: best belated birthday gift EVER. Thank you, Terry, for signing them! It was such a fantastic surprise!

SiP has been such a huge part of my life; I couldn't imagine existence without it. The way you handled the ending was beautiful. I'm so pleased. Honestly, Terry, fantastic beautiful work.

Thank you for SiP and everything over all the years. I can't wait for Motorgirl; I'm sure I'll fall in love with that too!

*Standing Ovation*

That was terrific. A happy ending, a good denouement, solid closure, and we know that not only are things all right, but they'll stay all right this time.

And as an extra bonus, I think F&K's reaction shot to how Casey handles Tambi is the single funniest panel in the entire series. Thank you!!!!

Will we ever learn the kids' names, Terry? Maybe in a future Treasury?

P.S. In response to another comment: she's saying they'll both be Francine's kids, but she'll tell her daughter all about David so she knows her dad. Francine's baby still has her father.

Name: Yazi Mariel Country: Brooklyn Rating: rating

I have to say, I feel somewhat satisfied. The acts in themselves were good... I felt however that the story was not executed to the best of Terry's abilities.

I laughed at the development of Casey and Tambi, and at Fran and Kat with their simultaneous pregnancies. I didn't even notice the lack of kissing in the issue until I re-read it. I felt cheated by Katchoo's monologue... I kept wanting to scream "Show, don't tell!". I didn't need Kat to tell me she was writing the story. She could've shown me.

I have one huge gripe with that monologue, anyway. Katchoo kept separating the kids... "My baby"... "Francine's Children".

What?

It should've been Our children all the way through, Terry. Can't believe you didn't see that.

That last page, though? That last page was exactly what I had hoped to see for the last couple of issues. I'm glad I got a small glimpse. If that last page had been a couple more pages (I loved Frank and the huge teddy bear behind him!) I would've been ecstatic. As it is I'm pretty happy.

Mr. Moore,

Loved it! That "extra" page at he end was brilliant! I couldn't have asked for more of an ending. Thanks for the ride! I bought the 3 covers yesterday and presented one each to my wife and 2 daughters and looked on lovingly as all three of them sat on the couch reading intently. Then, after my wife's tears subsided, she gave me her issue and I read it. Long live SiP!!!

All the best!

Yay for Katchoo and Francine getting (and staying) together. Lovely scene with spreading the ashes, and loved the fadeout at the end.

Wish the bit about Katchoo getting all the money had been skipped. She's already got a house, David's baby, another baby, a great career, and Francine; why does she need $700 million dollars for the ending to be even happier??

Tambi and Casey getting together was fun, but would've liked it if it'd left more tentative -- something like Casey giving Tambi longing looks, and then Tambi giving Casey a longing look when Casey didn't notice...

One last kvetch: we never got to see Katchoo and Francine making love or having a really hot kiss. (#89's kiss wasn't happy enough to count!) I can understand that it might not've worked for the issue to insert a page or two or ten of kissing and sex... but one picture worked in there somewhere would've been neat.

Still: good issue, and thanks for this series!!! I'm gonna miss SiP... but glad to see it wrapped up. Have fun with the next series!

Aaron - The alternative storylines where Francine grows old without Katchoo and meets her later down the line were part of Francine's precognitive visions - a future life without Katchoo, all of which do not end happily unless she is with Katchoo.

I'm glad that they are together now. And it's sad, but unfortunately the death of an important friend is what had to happen for them to be pulled back together and re-evaluate the importance of their relationship. Katchoo was left with all of her friends either betraying, dying, or leaving her and in the end Francine was there all along despite the pain, the hardships, and the neglect. Likewise, Francine's self-esteem and high maintenaince barred unwell for all of her relationships, except for Katchoo who was always there to prove to her how wonderful she was.

Dingbat and raging lesbian were meant to be together, and for that to happen, the last piece of the Triangle had to die. David was a wedge between the two of them for years. But he still lives on in everyone's memories as they learn to move on away from a past rich with evil and a future rich with hope and friendship as learned by David.

I loved it, Terry. Thank you. I relate so much with Francine, and I can see my best friend in Katchoo. We've never quite found our David, but I figure he's winking somewhere in the background.

i was a little letdown by the ending it was good and i don't feel like i wasted 14 yrs but the ending did'nt totally blow me away first off it was out of continuity katchoo and francine do'nt buy this house together katchoo owns the house and meets francine many years down the road and fran does'nt know what happens with david i suppose this is explained in the fact that katchoo is going to write their story and maybe the novel and alternate timelines that the series goes into is her writing and what was the deal with casey she was just like the old casey i thought all that was an act and the thing with tambi and casey that seemed a little much and had the cheesy everyone is a lesbian in this series vibe i just feel like this ending was done just to make everything nice and happy and to make all the fans ooh and aww terry has said himself he had different end in mind for a while but changed it a little after 911 to give a sense of hope he could have done this without all the smaltzy forced happy ending all in all it was good closure in a way but it could have been a lot better
